MEETINGS and CLUBS ARE SEPARATE ENTITIES!
12-step MEETINGS at these clubs are autonomous and are available to anyone who has an honest desire to quit drinking or using illicit drugs or non-prescribed medication.
These are listings of 12-step-based recovery social clubs in the area. Most are membership owned and run and are non-profit organizations. They strongly encourage membership because the income from dues (as well as meeting room rental fees) support the day-to-day business of the club, and if the club continues, there is more opportunity for addicts and alcoholics to seek help. Each club may have usage privileges for members. Ask at the club.
And now for some unfortunate reality: "We are not saints!" Not all places or meetings can be expected to be totally safe havens. Some people are sober/clean only (not yet working on recovery) and may still be practicing unhealthy and negative behaviors. Others are very proud of not being a saint (and may even wear a T-shirt to advertise this.) Proceed with caution!
